B-drop micro valve

micro valve production

Sterile, fast and inexpensive...

ReseaTech GmbH is a pioneer in the field of electromagnetic single-use valves. In a development project at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in 2010, a microvalve was created based on a completely new approach: the valve was to be sterile, quick and easy to manufacture and therefore suitable for use as a single-use valve in biotechnology. The B-drop mini is probably the cheapest microvalve in its class today and also the only one developed exclusively for sterile applications.

The B-drop mini is a very fast-switching and inexpensive micro-dosing valve. It can be operated from as little as 3 volts and achieves switching times of less than 0.5 ms in peak hold mode. This micro valve is optimized for fast and reliable dosing applications where cleanliness and cost are important. The micro valve can be sterilized with gamma radiation. It is closed by a magnetic force when de-energized and contains no spring. To achieve maximum performance, the valve can be actively moved in the opening and closing direction. This is done by reversing the polarity of the voltage when the valve is closed. We recommend the ReseaTech 4-channel valve controller for this.

For special versions of the B-drop mini, e.g. normally closed, bipolar or steam sterilizable, please contact us.
